Avocados and kiwis are alike in many different ways. They both share the color green when they are cut open. Another thing that they have in common is that they both have a peel that you can’t eat. They also share seeds, the avocado has one large seed and kiwis have several little seeds. Lastly an avocado and a kiwi both have a similar shape where they are neither oval or circular.
Identical abilities doesn't equate to equality.
In the story, everybody in the dystopian society was given impairments to 'level the playing field' so to speak. No one person was smarter or faster or different from anybody else. In doing this, it's supposed to be supporting the idea of a more 'fair' society; however, the supposed 'equality' that resulted from this was ultimately the impairment of the broader spectrum of society.
This is from the Diary of Anne Frank. Mr. Frank is the one who says this line. The Jews in hiding have been fighting over food. Because of the German forces raiding farms and taking most of the food for the soldiers, there is very little food to around. It's even harder for those in hiding to get food. Mr. Frank sees the fighting over the food as a way the Jews are destroying themselves. They cannot be divisive if they want to survive. If they are at war with each other inside of their hideaway, they'll eventually destroy themselves, the Nazis won't get the chance.
