The dictionary definition is the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.

In my own words, censorship is the act of covering something up.

A writer makes fun of literary critics by "reviewing" an
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

The correct answer is B. Parody.

Explanation:

A parody is a vulgar, exaggerated, or comic imitation of another work known to the public, through which the original work is ridiculed, even by small references to it. Broadly speaking, a parody is a sub-form of a satire: the story (the text or the image) is imitated in an ironic way. This can happen in a harmless as well as a corrosive way. The success of the parody will be greater the more famous the original and the parodied (magnified) elements are therefore more recognizable.

When the ocean "chooses" Moana, what clues is the movie giving us about her future
Tju [1.3M]

Answer: Kindness is what brings the world to life. Moana showing Te ka kindness and compassion is what led to Te Ka returning back to Te Fiti, the living mother island and restoring the world to it's beautiful and fruitful live. From what I picked up from the movie, and from Maui says it to her, the ocean chose Moana because it missed being sailed on by her people. ... Ocean is her friend. Her grandmother knows that Moana can bring back the lost glory by returning the goddess, Te Fiti, her heart.

Which text would be most appropriate to include in a pamphlet to be distributed in a campaign to end child labor?
enot [183]

D) Both the poem and the essay would be appropriate to include.

When trying to persuade readers, it is best to use as many rhetorical devices as possible. The rhetorical devices are ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos is an appeal to ethics. Pathos is an appeal to emotion. And, logos is an appeal to logic. Thus, by including a poem, most likely, pathos will be included because of how poetry is emotional. Additionally, by including facts that support your ethical position of ending child labor, readers’ logical next step would be to support ending it, as well. That said, both the poem and essay would be appropriate to include.
