I'm not 99% sure but I know they joined in together bc it was their best chance due to both of their over achieved military strength and how much territory they gained during the war, us also had no nuclear weapons at the end of the war to use so ofc they needed help.

What contributed to the growth of representatives self government and democracy in the 13 colonies
LenKa [72]

There are three reasons for the growth of representative self-government in the 13 colonies. One of them is the population growth: this allowed cities to be formed and at the same time centers of government appeared. Another reason is the development of an independent economy: this allowed some colonies to issue their own money. And last but not least, the attempts of the British to control and dominate their colonies: this made the colonies to really want to have a self-government and their citizens to decide who they want to rule over them.

What has been a negative impact of political parties on American government?
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:Disadvantages. Two-party systems have been criticized for downplaying alternative views, being less competitive, encouraging voter apathy since there is a perception of fewer choices, and putting a damper on debate within a nation.

Explanation:Third parties may also help voter turnout by bringing more people to the polls. Third party candidates at the top of the ticket can help to draw attention to other party candidates down the ballot, helping them to win local or state office.
