Egypt was a large kingdom. Describe some things that happened trying to run such a large country.
nataly862011 [7]
Well The Nile River flooded annually; this flooding was so regular that the ancient Egyptians set their three seasons Inundation, or flooding, Growth, and Harvest around it.

This annual flooding was vital to agriculture because it deposited a new layer of nutrient-rich soil each year. In years when the Nile did not flood, the nutrient level in the soil was seriously depleted, and the chance of food shortages increased greatly. Food supplies had political effects, as well, and periods of drought probably contributed to the decline of Egyptian political unity at the ends of both the Old and Middle Kingdoms.

Why did Roosevelt propose a second New Deal?
djverab [1.8K]
1935 was wavering. The economy was at a seemingly brink of risk and Roosevelt was not going to let it plunder. Many said that the "New Deal" wasn't working well enough and thought that what they saw was the government taking over. May 1935 came around and it hit its all time low. The National Industrial Recovery Act was a key piece of New Deal legislation. However, in 1935, the supreme court struck it down. Roosevelt wasn't having any of this and so he made the Second New Deal which proposed many new parts of legislation, including Social Security.

Why did some new European govern-
ments survive and others fail during
the 1920s?
tangare [24]

Economic depression make many democracies became weak and they became threatened for the communism and dictators.

The 1929 Crisis was a consequence of the great expansion of credit through money supply (issuance of money and bonds) carried out by the Federal Reserve System (a type of US Central Bank) since the early years of the 1920s. from 1929, this expansion had to be stopped by the Government, since the adjustment of accounts needed to be done. The Government then stopped expanding the money supply and began to operate a loan restriction policy. Fearing the currency's devaluation, many people and companies withdrew their reserves from banks, initiating a recessionary process.
