The implementation of total war was a strategy picked by the Union officers for multiple reasons.
1) Total war will result in the destruction of Southern supplies and transportation. Sherman destroys railroad tracks, burns crops, and ruins plantations so that the Southern army/citizens have no resources to survive.
2) It will bring the Civil War to an end much quicker.
Sherman's idea of destroying the South can be viewed as an immoral action. This is due to the fact that Sherman and his troops will be destroying the land and property of individuals who may not even be part of the war or the Confederate war effort.
During the 17th century, the Scientific Revolution reached vastly new horizons that greatly furthered our <u>understanding of the physical world</u>. We can say for sure that with his theory of heliocentrism, he initiated the Scientific Revolution all by himself.
<u>Kepler's</u> strongest input came with the three Laws of Planetary Motion, discovering that the planets move around the Sun in orbits shaped like ellipses.
Newton presented the three principal Laws of Motion, which served as the basis for all of modern physics. In addition, his introduction and development of calculus became the most relevant method of solving more complex mathematical problems. He also introduced the Law of Universal Gravitation.

Jane was an unidentified 14 year old girl found in 2012 by Jamestown Rediscovery archaeologists working at a 1608 James Fort cellar. The Starving Time at Jamestown in the Colony of Virginia was a period where food was so scarce to the point that colonists ate everything that did not eat them. This included horses, cats, rats, and even shoe leather. Eventually, as winter raged on and the famine showed no signs of stopping, some colonists turned to cannibalism. Jane was the first physical evidence of cannibalism.

The part that particularly angered Northerners was that if they did not enforce the act, they were subject to jail time or a fine. Even if Northerners opposed slavery, they could still be neutral in terms of what they do to help slaves or not. The Fugitive Slave Act forced them to go against their own beliefs with this potential jail time or fine, which really angered them.
