Nomads moved from place to place bringing all of their belongings. They were much more mobile and did not stay in one place for too long. They migrated whenever there seemed to be a shortage of food or other necessities in the area. Hunter/gatherers on the other hand did not move around much. They may have taken days or even weeks hunting/gathering food a ways from their camp but overall they were stationary.
Confucius' approach was to focus on the problem of becoming human. In doing so, he made an effort to rethink and revive the institutions that for ages had been essential to social and political order.
