What specific similarities does miller identify between the prosecutions and the confessions of the accused?
Natali5045456 [20]

The significant description of "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller is about the Persecution and confession of the accused regarding witch trials. Persecution, in "The Crucible" deals with the cruel murder of Elizabeth Proctor, who was blamed for being a witch and exercising witchcraft. During the Persecution the people were blamed for being part of an unfaithful group and forced to absolve themselves by naming others in the group.

On the other hand, the people were asked to confess about the witch trials which give them the chance to save their life. Many people were falsely blamed for being witches in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692. Many people also died after a series of lies and unjust practices. In both the instances, people were killed either they confessed or they persecuted for practicing witchcraft.
