Answer:

There are pros and cons to this question

Explanation:You can look at it in many different ways. Japan was not planning on surrendering any time soon. They believe that dying in combat is one of the most repectible deaths ever. If we did not bomb them, They would not have surrendered which would have lead to many more american deaths. Earlier in the war they bombed our naval base pearl harbor, so they started it. Thats the argument for bombing them.

The argument agains bombing them is that hiroshima and Nagasaki were huge cities. There were thousands of people in thise cities, Civilians. Japan did bomb us but they bombed a Naval base. So we punished the civilians of Japan and we Also punished the kids of those civilians because those bombs had radiation in them which affected the people that werent killed by the blast but were in the area that the radiation was at. The radiation affected those poeples unborn children, gave them birth defects and some of them died because of it.

So was it right? I think that the decision to bomb them was not an easy one. I think it took a lot of time to come to this decision. But overall it did end this war which most likely save a lot of american lives.

fredd [130]

The French Navy, with an assist by the American rebels, created a blockade that trapped Lord Cornwallis in off Yorktown Virginia.

how revolutionary was the American revolution, what political, social, and economic changes did it produce, and what stayed the
kvasek [131]

Answer:

Changes: There was a cultural fragmentation of the British world. Federalism and republicanism replaced monarchy and deference as fundamental principles of the Revolution. The colonial relationship with Britain was destroyed. The Atlantic slave trade was condemned and outlawed by 1808. Non-elite men achieved a great role in determining the government system that ruled over them.

Status quo: Women remained second-class citizens, slavery remained a legal institution for African American people, Native Americans continued to be viewed as outsiders who had a minimum role to play in the independence movement, and elite white men continued to control national affairs.
