The correct answer is <span>A) It reinforces the idea that all people, not just the speaker's father, should fight against death.
The name of the poem is <em>Do not Go Gentle into that Good Night - </em>the meaning of this title is that you shouldn't just waste your life and then lie down and wait to die. The poet is trying to encourage everyone to fight death, and fight for their lives because they have so much more to give.</span>

Which opinion about colonialism is best supported by events from The
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

Among the options given on the question the correct answer is option B.

Native population are better off left alone than influenced by into a colonizer's culture.

Explanation: The Tempest was a play which was written by William Shakespeare probably during 1601 to 1611. The story about a remote island where a boat reached. The story is about Prospero and his daughter and their two servants Caliban and Ariel.

During the writing of the play there was an interest in the audience about the European colonizers and the natives in many places around the world.

In the play it is shown that Prospero thinks about himself superior than Caliban. He thought he has given education to the Caliban. But Caliban soon realized that Prospero gave him education to take the leadership from and Prospero thinks Caliban as a second class citizen. Soon Caliban became violent and angry with him.

So from the drawn theme of the play it can be said that the relationship between the colonizer and the settler was never warm.

Therefore native populations are better off left alone than influenced by into  a colonizer's culture.

coldgirl [10]

I believe the correct answer is B) Sam and Hally enjoy the intellectual exchange.

I came to this conclusion because Fugard uses this to show how inconsiderate Hally is of Sam's perspective, and despite seeing himself as politically progressive, he still harbors obvious racists views.

Which of the following sentences is written in passive voice?
Paladinen [302]

Answer: A. A massage is given as a relaxing experience, not stressful.

Explanation:

Passive voice is used when we want to place focus on the person/object that experiences the action, and not the person/object that performs the action. The object from the active sentence thus becomes the subject in the passive sentence.

Passive constructions are formed in a following way:

<em>verb to be </em>+ <em>past participle of the main verb (III column)</em>

The only sentence that contains passive construction is sentence A. Passive construction<em> ''is given''</em> consists of verb 'to be' (present simple) and past participle of 'to give'.
