Le Canada est un pays situé dans le nord de l’Amérique du Nord, juste au-dessus des États-Unis. Il se compose de dix provinces et de trois territoires. Il englobe près de 10 millions de kilomètres de terre, ce qui en fait le deuxième plus grand pays du monde.Les peuples autochtones habitent continuellement ce qui est aujourd’hui le Canada depuis des milliers d’années. À partir du 16ème siècle, les expéditions britanniques et Français ont exploré et se sont installées plus tard le long de la côte atlantique. À la suite de divers conflits armés, la France a cédé presque toutes ses colonies en Amérique du Nord en 1763. En 1867, avec l’union de trois colonies britanniques de l’Amérique du Nord par la Confédération, le Canada a été formé en tant que dominion fédéral de quatre provinces.
