English
1 answer:
kenny6666 [7]2 years ago
5 0

At the beginning of the text, he is described as a polite, balanced, calm, and very rational employee. However, the accident changed his behavior, causing him to become rude, reckless, surly, and restless.

We can arrive at this answer because:

 • The story shows that Phineas Gage was the foreman of railway construction.
 • One day, an explosion in the building caused a tamping iron to hit his head very hard, completely destroying one side of his brain.
 • Although this was a very violent accident, he survived, but the impact on his brain completely changed the way he behaved.

When he recovered from the accident, he went back to work, but his friends at work claimed he was a very calm, efficient, and respectful person, but the accident left him rude, rude, and inconsequential.

Answer:

Alliteration.

Explanation:

Alliteration is a literary technique which involves the repetition of the same consonant in neighboring words. As you can see in the line above, the consonant f is repeated in words fain, fell, and faring, thus creating alliteration.

Caesura is a pause within a line of poetry.

Enjambment happens when the poet's thought doesn't end with one line but rather extends into the next one.

Synecdoche means that a part represents the whole and vice versa like when you use the singular word head to refer to a number of cattle.
