solong [7]

The simplified expression that is equivalent to the total distance, in miles, Joy covers is (A) x² + 3x + 5 miles.

What is an expression?

 • An expression or mathematical expression is a finite combination of symbols that is well-formed according to context-dependent norms.

To find the simplified expression:

Given -

 • Distance cycled = x² + 7 miles
 • Distance ran = 2x miles
 • Distance swam = x - 2 miles

Thus,

 • Total distance she covers = x² + 7 + 2x + x - 2
 • Total distance = x² + 3x + 5 miles

Therefore, the simplified expression that is equivalent to the total distance, in miles, Joy covers is (A) x² + 3x + 5 miles.

Hello!

The degrees in a circle add to 360°

Since WZ is a diameter the angles on one side of the line add to 180°

We know that the angles to the right of WZ add to 180 and the angle of XW is 63.

We add these to get ZWX

180 + 63 = 243

The answer is 243°

Hope this helps!
