Berg Winds originate mostly in dry, often barren, parched central plateau of Southern Africa. <span>Berg winds are literally, mountain winds which are hot, dry, squally wind blowing off the interior plateau of South Africa down to the coast. These episodes usually last around two to three days.</span>
