The word parasite comes from Middle French "parasite"<span>, from </span>Latin "parasitus"<span>, from </span>Ancient Greek "<span>παράσιτος". </span>It can denote an organism that lives<span> on or in another organism or a</span> person who lives on other people's efforts , who benefits from other organism or human.
According to Thoreau, we must heed our conscience, even when acknowledging its moral authority results in direct conflict with the state. As Thoreau states, “I think we should be men first, and subjects afterward” (¶4). By doing so, Thoreau implies that government can be improved.
