The lockdown could have led to more instances of illegal dumping because of the increased waste generated by a household in lockdown, including extra waste discarded from home improvement works.

What are the disadvantages of an illegal dumping?

Illegal dumping have several disadvantages that can be a great cause of concern for all living things. Firstly, it creates land, water and air pollution.

Basically, the water in the nearby seas and lakes become so polluted that no living things can survive. The water also becomes unfit for drinking as well.

Hence, the two ways by the illegal dumping increased during the lockdown are increased waste generated by a household in lockdown and extra waste discarded from home improvement works.
