1. DDT interferes with the egg-shell formation in many birds. The shells remain thin and break by bird's weight during incubation. Dieldrin is about 5 times more toxic than DDT when ingested and 40 times more poisonous when absorbed.

2. Biomagnification of mercury into fish through the food chain was responsible for large number of deaths due to Minamata disease in Japan.

3. Selenium accumulates in the plants growing on selenium-rich soils. Through food chain, such plants cause stunted growth, loss of appetite, gastro-intestinal disorders, etc. in the animals grazing on such plants.

4. Due to this phenomenon our food grains such as wheat and rice, vegetables and fruits, and even meat contain varying amount of such toxic chemicals.

Aristotle's geocentric model

Aristotle's model of the universe was also geocentric in which the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars all orbiting the Earth and present inside of Eudoxus' spheres and also revolves around the planet earth.

Aristotle believed in a geocentric Universe and that the planets and stars were perfect spheres, but the Earth itself was not a perfect sphere so we can conclude that Stars are the spherical object according to Aristotle's geocentric model.
