Answer:

3.

m + 7 ≥ 20

Subtract 7 on both sides,

m ≥ 20 - 7

m ≥ 13

The answer is m ≥ 13.

( you need to include both > and =, that is ≥ )

4.

2.1x = 23.1

Divide 2.1 on both sides,

x = 23.1 / 2.1

x = 11

Answer:

For problem #3, we are given m+7\geq 20 so we would just subtract 7 from both sides to get rid of the 7 on the left and that would end up subtracting 7 from 20 also leaving us with m\geq 13.

For problem #4, we are given 2.1x=23.1 so we would just divide both sides by 2.1 which would get rid of the 2.1 on the left and that would also make us divide 23.1 by 2.1 leaving us with x=11.

What is the fifth term of the sequence whose first term is 10 and whose common ratio is 1/2?
Alborosie

Answer:

\frac{5}{8}

Step-by-step explanation:

The n th term of a geometric sequence is

a_{n} = a₁(r)^{n-1}

where a₁ is the first term and r the common ratio

here a₁ = 10 and r = \frac{1}{2}, thus

a_{5} = 10 × (1/2)^{4} = 10 × \frac{1}{16} = \frac{5}{8}

Answer:

x = 31°

Step-by-step explanation:

\triangle ABC \cong \triangle DCE... (given) \\\\\therefore m\angle B = m\angle E..(cact)\\\\\because m\angle B = 61\degree \\\\\therefore m\angle E = 61\degree \\\\In \: \triangle DCE\\\\m\angle D+ m\angle C + m\angle E = 180\degree \\(by \:  interior \:  angle  \: sum \:  property \:  of \:  a triangle) \\\\2x\degree + 57\degree + 61\degree= 180\degree \\\\2x\degree + 118\degree = 180\degree \\\\2x\degree = 180\degree - 118\degree  \\\\2x\degree = 62\degree  \\\\x = \frac{62\degree}{2} \\\\x = 31\degree

Determine whether the ordered pair (1, 1) is a solution of the inequality. y ≤ -3x+1
solong [7]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer:  \textsf{(1, 1) is NOT a solution of the inequality}

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Given:  y \le-3x + 1

Find:  \textsf{Determine if (1, 1) is a solution of the inequality}

Solution:  In order to determine if (1, 1) is a solution we need to plug in 1 for the x values and 1 for the y values and see if the equation evaluated to true.

<u>Plug in the values</u>

  • y \le-3x + 1
  • 1 \le-3(1) + 1

<u>Simplify</u>

  • 1 \le-3 + 1
  • 1 \le-2

As we can see the expression states that 1 is less than or equal to -2 which is false therefore (1, 1) is NOT a solution of the inequality.

Otrada [13]

Answer:

To answer this item, we add up all the scores and divide the sum by the total number of quizzes.

                   0: 0 quizzes

                   1 : 1 quiz                     total  : 1

                   2: 3 quizzes                total : 6

                   3: 4 quizzes                total : 12

                    4: 4 quizzes               total : 16

                   5: 1 quiz                      total : 1

There are 13 quizzes and the total score is 36. Dividing the total score by the total number of quizzes will give us a final answer of 2.77.
