During the time period of the American colony’s southerners started the use of large plantations making it more and more acceptable as they moved on.These southerners had political,social and other values in mind when it came to America they wanted to use slavery to grow the country and control the government as a whole.They believed that what they did was right and using in this cause African Americans to grow their economic wealth was acceptable socially and politically. they would use these slaves to control the incoming products and materials.The north on the other hand did not agree with this and tried to abolish slavery which would take away the southerners main work force making them all of their money because of this the south decided to resign themselves from the United States and fight the north as the confederates to gain the right of slavery and make it legal everywhere. In the end the north won and slavery would later be abolished with all slaves being released from their “owners” and have a life with a little bit more rights
