Explanation:
The first World Cup was organised in England in June 1975, with the first ODI cricket match having been played only four years earlier. However, a separate Women's Cricket World Cup had been held two years before the first men's tournament, and a tournament involving multiple international teams had been held as early as 1912, when a triangular tournament of Test matches was played between Australia, England and South Africa. The first three World Cups were held in England. I think a lot of people will automatically first try to speak to you in English or they will be shocked if you are very fluent cause having an American accent and speaking in languages that mostly have English letters, it's kind of difficult for Americans to get a hold of the accents since they can pronounce it in a very "american" way.
Like for example, french seems very charming and romantic and the words can be very difficult to pronounce sometimes so speaking in perfect french can come to a surprise to alot of people.
And if it is the other way around, french is a very charming accent and that's maybe why french is one of the most beautiful languages in the world.
