Grit refers to perseverance of effort that helps a person to overcome challenges for achieving a goal. With her strong determination and facing obstacles, she fulfilled all her goals in her life.

The goal refers to the end towards which the effort is directed and someone is trying to achieve.

Grit refers to the effort done by a person for achieving goals. Throughout her life, Patsy Mink faced many obstacles in education and employment.

She wanted to run the house of representatives and her grit helped her to become the first woman of color to serve as a congresswoman.

Thus, she believed in gender equality and served a total of 15 terms as a member of the house of representatives.
