Answer:

Regarding the characteristics of hunter-gatherer societies we can name the following:

 1. One of the main characteristics of hunter and gatherer societies is their mobility, referring both to the location of the group and to the magnitude of people who compose it according to the time of the year.
 2. These societies were characterized by eating a mostly carnivorous diet, it is believed that approximately 60% of what they consumed was meat and the rest was made up of vegetables and fruits.
 3. The hunter groups lived in small groups called hordes or bands. They were composed of one or more families and the number of members was variable according to the times.
 4. These societies also made other symbolic manifestations such as cave paintings, statuettes and burials with offerings. These were ways of expressing their beliefs about death, or rituals to ask for abundance and fertility from the forces of nature.

Gnoma [55]

The correct statement is," Bonds benefited the citizens who purchased them in a way that the government repaid the bond purchasers with interest." The correct option is D.

Bonds are such securities issued by the government or any other body to procure or raise funds, and interest is payable on them at a predetermined fixed interest rate.

Bond instruments

 • Bonds are an instrument issued by a borrower to the public who subscribe to them as a token of proof that the borrower has raised such amount from the investor, payable at a fixed time period.

 • Bonds generally are beneficial as they are comparatively secured investments than the equities and debts and give more interest than any bank deposits or saving accounts.

 • Bonds may be issued by a Government or any other corporate body to raise funds for a specific purpose, which is payable at a fixed rate of interest predetermined at the time of issue of such securities.

Hence, the correct option is D that the government benefits the purchaser of bonds in the way of repaying such bonds with interests to its subscribers.

What methods did Roosevelt use to aid Britain in its struggle with Nazi Germany, while still technically keeping the US neutral?
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer 1: Although constrained by powerful isolationist sentiment in the United States, President Roosevelt was determined to help democratic Great Britain continue the war against Nazi Germany. Even as he promised to keep the United States neutral in the European war, Roosevelt ordered the expansion of military construction and pledged--as shown in this footage--that the United States would serve as the "great arsenal of democracy." In March 1941, Congress approved Lend-Lease aid for Britain. Britain ultimately received over 31 billion dollars in military aid from the United states. The United States finally entered World War II after the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Answer 2: The effect was Roosevelt soon took advantage of his authority under the new law, ordering large quantities of U.S. food and war materials to be shipped to Britain from U.S. ports through the new Office of Lend-Lease Administration. The supplies dispersed under the Lend-Lease Act ranged from tanks, aircraft, ships, weapons and road building supplies to clothing, chemicals and food.
