D. Repetition of consonants
The tone of Oscar Wilde’s critique in The Importance of Being Earnest is mainly humorous. He uses the sense of humor to speak about the things he hates. For example, he hates the way in which people are not free to be themsrlves in Victorian times.
He uses exaggeration and sarcasm to mock about the that time.

The good thing about the crucible is that the atmosphere is sad through out the act.
