Which statements describe the figure on the grid if each square has side lengths of 1 cm? Check all that apply. On a coordinate

plane, a figure covers 12 full squares and 12 partial squares. The bottom of the figure is diagonal and crosses 6 squares. The perimeter of the figure is 18 cm. The length of the top of the figure is less than 6 cm. The area of the figure is the sum of 12 full squares and 12 partial squares. The area of the figure is greater than 24 square centimeters. The length of the bottom of the figure is greater than 6 cm. The area of the figure is the sum of 6 full squares and 12 partial squares.

The figure on the grid is an illustration of areas and perimeters of a shape

How to determine the true statements?

The question is incomplete, as the figure is not given.

So, I will provide a general explanation on how to determine the area and the perimeter of a shape.

The area of a shape is the amount of space on that shape.

Take for instance a square that has a side length 5 units.

The area of the square would be:

Area = 5 * 5 = 25 square units

On the other hand, the perimeter is the sum of the side lengths of the shape.

Using the same square that has a side length 5 units.

The perimeter of the square would be:

Perimeter = 4 * 5 = 20 units

About miles.

Subtract the flat rate of 1.75 from the spending limit of 10$ which leaves you with 8.25 then divide the rest of your spending money (8.25$) into your rate per mile (0.65) , so essentially , 8.25 / 0.65 which leaves you with the answer of ;
12 miles.

Find a side of an equilateral triangle with a 12 inch altitude
saveliy_v [14]
Since the triangle is an equilateral triangle we know all of it's sides must be the same length, with that in mind the angles that make up the triangle must be equal as well. Knowing that a triangle's three interior angles make up 180 degrees we know that the size of each angle must be one third of this (as each angle must be equal).

180/3 = 60

then we may split the triangle along it's altitude into two special right triangles
more specifically two 30-60-90 triangles.

this means that the side with 30 degrees will be some value "x" where the side for 60 degrees will be related as it is "x*sqrt(3)" and the hypotenuse (which would be the side of the triangle) would be proportionally "2x"

this would mean that the altitude is the side associated with the 60 degree angle as such we can solve for "x" using this.

12= x*sqrt(3)
12/sqrt(3)=x
4sqrt(3)=x (simplifying the radical we get "x" equals 4 square root 3)

now we may solve for the side length of the triangle which is "2x"

2*4sqrt(3) -> 8sqrt (3)

eight square root of three is the answer.
