The 7th Amendment is one of the first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution . The first 10 Amendments are called "The Bill of Rights" and they outline what the government can't do to a person .

The first Amendment is usually referred to as "The Freedoms Amendment". The freedoms it grants are the following :

  • Freedom of Speech
  • Freedom of the Press
  • Freedom of Assembly
  • Freedom of Religion

The second Amendment grants the right to bear arms .

With the help of the 3rd Amendment , no soldiers can be quartered in a person's house without their consent .

The 4th Amendment protects against illegal search and seizure .

The 5th Amendment grants the right to remain silent .

The 6th Amendment gives the right to an attorney .

The 7th Amendment, as I said earlier , gives the right to a trial by jury .

The 8th Amendment Protects against excessive bail .

The 9th Amendment States that if rights aren't listed in the Constitution , they belong to the citizens , not the federal government .

The last Amendment in the Bill of Rights , the 10th Amendment , states that the federal government has powers that are only listed in the Constitution .
