There is amazing historical <u>artifact </u>was discovered in an attic. It is a <u>book</u>. The <u>book </u>was created by <u>Aaron </u>Lummus  in the year 1850.

It was made because he <u>wanted </u><u>the </u><u>people convert</u><u> to what he </u><u>believed in</u>.

People who would have read or studied this item or book at the time it <u>was </u><u>formed</u><u> or written were said to be peopl</u>e who thought c<u>onversion and change </u><u>was a good thing and it may be </u><u>needed</u><u> at at time.</u>

It is worth studying today because tells us how about ancestors views and what they had truly believed in. It is known to be one that influence the society and beliefs of a lot of people as it also affects today's society.

The event that this artifact talks about is the Second Great Awakening.

This happened around the year 1800’s (first half of that year). The reason this event took place was because a lot of people believed that their churches and religious leaders need to have a lot of fun and inspirational sermons.

People participated in this event through three main ways:

1. Publicly Talking or Testifying their sins.

2. Being a part of the committees to work on problems such as slavery, and poverty.

3. By participating in camps and helping other people.

<h3>What is Social Reform</h3>

A social reform is known to be a kind of movement that is huge. It is an informal group of people and organizations that aids the same idea or cause.

Social reform relates to this event because of the fact that <u>Aaron </u>Lummus was said to participated in one.

An example of a social reform directly liked to the book is when <u>Aaron </u>Lummus  was in a social reform movement along with other people such as Mr. Brown and Mr. Young.

Another major U.S. event happening during this time was the election of<u> </u><u>Jackson</u>.
