Hey there!
Language learning apps can help like Duolingo and Babbel.
As a Japanese myself, before you learn Japanese , I want to say that it is going to be a little hard for speakers who don't use east asian languages like mandarin, cantonese, korean etc to learn it. Also you have to learn the hiragana (mainly!), kanji (next important) and katakana (tough for international speakers) scripts to understand Japanese writing as all these are used (romaji script is not important as it's something used by japanese natives to understand the latin script, that includes english). Without studying all three of them Japanese can be very hard.
Apps help but watch Japanese movies, dramas or animes to get the perfect pronunciation.
Next, try to learn some slangs because now the gen-z uses a lot of them to communicate in daily basis and these are not something that apps teach you. But, i think new movie or drama releases will help you in this.
Okay, I hope this will help you and yes ask me if you have any doubts.
