Simply put, they were fighting an unpopular war that was against an enemy we basically couldn't see. We were fighting an enemy who would hide among the Vietnamese civilians. Many of the soldiers we were fighting were untrained farmers, however the fact they would not come out as soldier made it harder to root them out. They also knew the land better than us so they had the terrain to their advantage. The Vietnamese were just guerilla fighters, who we had issues with fighting because we could never tell who was an enemy. Often times, civilians would die due to the choices of these fighters, causing the Vietnam war to be very unpopular back at home. So our soldiers who had no morale to boost them back at home, were fighting an invisible enemy and then coming back home and being booed fr what thy did.
During the early nineteenth century, the South was distinct from the rest of the United States due to several reasons.
These reasons include:
1- The increase in the number of slaves
2- The race superiority and the bridge (gap) that was found between the races
3- The distribution of the crops
4- The "Peculiar Institution" which is a term that referred mainly to the system of slavery that existed in the South during this period.
Early developments in electric power technology helped industries to harness the power of electricity and transport it from place to place. In the early 1800s, the work of Nikola Tesla led to the development of alternating-current (AC) and direct-current (DC) technologies, including batteries and cross-country power transfer. The experiments of Georg Simon Ohm led to his 1927 discovery of Ohm's Law, which measures electrical current and opened the door for increased complexity in electrical circuits.
