Answer:

Let tacos be x and enchiladas be y

6 tacos + 4 enchiladas = 52

becomes

6x+4y=52

^^that's our first equation

Now, the second equation

7 tacos + 9 enchiladas = 78

7x+9y = 78

^^^that's our second equation

Isolate y in the first equation:

6x+4y=52

4y=52-6x

y = (52-6x)/4

^^^Let's call this equation 3

Now, sub-in equation 3 into equation 2

*replace the y*

Equation 2: 7x+9y = 78

Sub-in

7x+ 9 ( (52-6x)/4) = 78

Do some algebra (get your x terms on one side) and you will find your x value

7x + 117 - 13.5x = 78

(7x-13.5x) = 78-117 *get your x terms on one side

x=6

That's the cost of one taco.

Now, find y. Pick an equation (1,2 or 3). Let's pick 3 since y is already isolated.

All you do is plug in your x value.

Equation 3: y = (52-6x)/4

y= (52 -6(6))/4

...

You should be able to solve this on your own

Step-by-step explanation:

:)) You can solve for y now

Six customers enter a gift shop during a 3-hour period. On average there are 0.25 customers in the gift shop and each spends 7.5
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

6 is most directly associated with the flow rate of customers

Step-by-step explanation:

Reason:

0.25 is the number of customers in the gift shop at a given point of time is WIP inventory

7.5 is the average time spent by customer in the shop and it is the throughput time.

Flow rate = WIP inventory/Throughput time

=0.25/7.5

= 0.0333 per minute = 2 per hour or 6 per 3 hour as given in question.

Dilate by a scale
factor of 1/2
AL
D
Firdavs [7]

Answer:

The image triangle ΔD'L'W' after the dilation by a scale factor of 1/2 will have the vertices:

 • D' (0, 1)
 • L' (1/2, 5/2) or L'(0.5, 2.5)
 • W' (5/2, 2) or W'(2.5, 2)

`The figure of the dilated image is attached below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the triangle ΔDLW withe the vertices

 • D(0, 2)
 • L(1, 5)
 • W(5, 4)

As the scale factor 1/2 < 0, thus the image triangle will be smaller than the original triangle.

The rule of dilation is given by

Dilation: (x, y) → (1/2x, 1/2y), centered at (0, 0)

D(0, 2) → D' (1/2x, 1/2y) → D' (1/2(0), 1/2(2)) = D' (0, 1)

L(1, 5) → L'(1/2x, 1/2y) → L'(1/2(1), 1/2(5)) = L' (1/2, 5/2)

W(5, 4) → W'(1/2x, 1/2y) → W'(1/2(5), 1/2(4)) = W' (5/2, 2)

Therefore, the image triangle ΔD'L'W' after the dilation by a scale factor of 1/2 will have the vertices:

 • D' (0, 1)
 • L' (1/2, 5/2) or L'(0.5, 2.5)
 • W' (5/2, 2) or W'(2.5, 2)

`The figure of the dilated image is attached below.
