Due to this increase in screen time, many people spend less time enjoying and interacting with their family, tending to the emotional needs of their loved ones, or being healthy examples of how to put down their phones and pick up a book. Young people, in particular, are suffering the most, as their parents stare at their phones instead of interacting with their children or doing wholesome family activities together. Children are indoors more than they used to be, they are neglected for the sake of their parents' fear of missing out on social media, and they, themselves, are becoming equally addicted to the screen.
