I'm pretty sure that is a logical sentence. (Meaning it's correct) except I think you need some sort of punctuation at the end such as a period (.)

Explanation:

But other than that The sentence looks right :)

I'm not positive but to me it looks okay!

I would say <span>C. soldier's return to his hometown. 

Because it was pretty much saying 6 years without being home, and then he didn't recognized most of the people that were welcoming him home. I mean he obviously does have something to do with the war but it's more about him coming back home.
