Alfred Wegener proposed that the continents were once united into a single supercontinent named Pangaea, then the continents then moved to their current positions. He called his hypothesis continental drift.

What evidence was given by researchers to proof that continents were joined together?

Wegener and his supporters collected a great deal of evidence for the continental drift hypothesis which came in the 1950s from studies on the Earth’s magnetic history.

He found that identical rocks which are found on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean had formed side-by-side and land had since moved apart. Ancient fossils of the same species of plant and animals are found in rocks of the same age but are on continents they are separated.

Scientists used magnetometers, and noted that magnetic polarity of different aged rocks are from the same continent.

About 70% of Earth's freshwater is where?
Pepsi [2]
About 70% of the Earth's freshwater is found in the form of ice caps and glaciers -it is frozen. Out of this, the majority is actually in one place: covering the continent of Antarctica.

One could argue that there is more water in the oceans, but it's not fresh water- it's salty water, so it's not good to drink.
