at they had aimed at when they had set themselves years ago to work for the overthrow of the human race." "if she herself had had any picture of the future, it had been of a society of animals set free from hunger and the whip." ". . . they were far better off than they had been in the days of jones, and that before all else it was needful to prevent the return of the human beings." "she would remain faithful, work hard, carry out the orders that were given to her, and accept the leadership of napoleon." The details that best support the theme is C."...they were far better off than they had been in the days of Jones...

<h3>What is a Supporting Detail?</h3>

This refers to the use of evidence to validate an earlier given claim to show that it is true.

Hence, we can see that from the complete text, there is the narration of the way oppression was used, and the second detail that supports this is D. "She would remain faithful, work hard, carry out the orders that were given to her and accept the leadership of Napoleon.”

Identify the verbal in the sentence below. Then select the type of verbal.
kodGreya [7K]

To identify the verbal in the sentence below we need to know that unlike ordinary verbs, verbals are not inflected for person and tense. Infinitives often preceded by to , gerunds and present participles are verbals  that can  function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs.

The puppy, Charlie, wanted to play with everyone around him.

Verbal: to play

Type of verbal: infinitive with to

Do you agree or disagree
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

disagree but it depends on who it is. many people would like to be by themselves on a tropical island but for me I need contact with other humans to survive while happy. if i were stranded i wouldn't have contact with anyone and would have to find my own food and build my own shelter (if they weren't somehow provided) and i just couldnt do that.

Read the poem below and answer the question that follows. Miniscule droplets beaded up on the window. Remnants of the storm. Thi
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

The Answer is Imagery.

Imagery in the poem is used here to express ideas about nature.

Explanation:

<em>Imagery</em> is one of several literary devices available to writers and poets.

When an author sits to write a story, he or she doesn't simply write what happened. Instead, He or she uses what are called literary devices which are <em>narrative techniques</em> that add texture, energy, and excitement to the narrative, grip the reader's imagination, and convey information.

There are hundreds of literary devices at the disposal of a writer. Some of them besides Imagery are:

  • Simile
  • Metaphor
  • Symbolism
  • Flashbacks
  • Foreshadowing
  • Motif
  • Allegory

In the poem above, the phrase "<em>beaded up on the window</em>" gives a vivid image of the after effects of the storm. It also tell us from what perspective the writer observed the storm.
