Answer:

The Puritans founded the Massachusetts Bay Colony so they could freely practice their religious beliefs and live by their Christian ideals.

What was Massachusetts Bay Colony?

In 1630, John Winthrop and 800 Puritans arrived to Boston and created the Massachusetts Bay Colony because Winthrop believed it was a "calling from god" and wanted to convert the native population to Christianity.

The Puritans who founded the Massachusetts Bay Colony sought to establish a society that would reflect God's will. Expelled were those whose religious views did not adhere to the Puritans' teachings.
