India was partitioned in 1947, that involves the division of two provinces that were Bengal and Punjab. It was done with the reason of the two-nation theory.

<h3>Why and how the partition of India was proved as a turning point in 20th century?</h3>

In 1947, India and Pakistan achieved the freedom from the British rule. In 1948, Gandhi was shot dead that stunned the nation badly. In 1950, India was declared as sovereign democratic republic and got its written constitution. In 1962, India and China had dangerous high-altitude border war.

In 1983, India welcomed a million new Maruti cars and vans. In 1984, toxic gases were leaked from a pesticide factory in Bhopal. In 1984, Indira Gandhi was shot dead by two of her own bodyguards. In 1991, India started to open up to global investment and trade. In 2000, India's population was increased by 1.2 million.

So all above mentioned, were proved as the turning point after the partition of India.

Describe the economic theory that encouraged European nations to colonize North America
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

Below.

Explanation:

There was a competition that kept growing between rising nation states. This fueled Europe's need to explore and colonize land. People also had the idea that new land provided new resources for Europe. North America has a lot of resources, more specifically trees. I read somewhere that Europe (more specifically Britain) doesn't have a lot of resources which NA would provide for them. Wealth, the importance of trade, and christianity also played a part in their exploration.

Hope this helped you a bit. :)

What artist created the image above?
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

kathe Kollwitz

Explanation:

Peasant War was Kollwitz’s second major cycle of prints, which occupied her from 1902 to 1908. She had been appointed to teach graphics at the Berlin School for Women due to the success of her previous print cycle, known as The Weaver’s Revolt. This next series was commissioned by the Association of Historical Art. The title refers to the violent uprising of peasants against their feudal lords and the church which took place in the early years of the Reformation in Southern Germany (1522–25). In a letter to a friend she noted that she had read The General History of the Great Peasant’s War written in 1841– 42 by Wilhelm Zimmermann and had become fascinated by the legendary figure known as Black Anna who was said to have incited the insurrection. Kollwitz noted that she identified with this character who appears in this print urging the peasants forward, arms raised over her head.
