Answer:

Here!

Explanation:

In the poem "The Singers" Henry Wadsworth Longfellow tells about the Christian values. He tells about the three singers whom God had sent on the earth with certain messages to tell to the people. The first singer was full of excitement and enthusiasm. He sang freely with the exuberance of youth. He sang of living the life to its fullest and the way we want to. The second singer with bearded face sang in a settled tone. His singing is the symbol of strength and calmness which is required in the middle age. The last and the third singer is much wiser and old. He job is mainly to teach the coming generation. He is seen playing the organ in a cathedral. When the people heard all of them they inquired as to who was the most relevant. To this question, God gave them the answer that each of the singers has a specific purpose and way of singing. Each of them represents the phase of life and thus teaching the people to live in harmony.

Vlada [557]

Answer: D. To demonstrate that he can relate to being oppressed

Explanation: In this excerpt from Elie Wiesel's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech, he presents his personal information first to demonstrate that he can relate to being oppressed. Wiesel presents his personal information first because as a survivor of the Holocaust he wants to tell people that neutrality favours the oppressor and silence encourages the tormentor. So he took side for all the people that suffer oppression around the world.
