Westward Expansion/Wild West
World War II

How would your characters differ?
Setting:
What is the setting like during this time period?
Where would your characters live?
What types of schools would they be attending, or what jobs would they hold?
Conflict

A sample that can be used to write a story that occurred during the American Revolution is:

 • List the characters
 • Establish a theme and plot
 • Develop them using literary and plot elements
 • Make use of conflict
 • Show how the main characters navigated through the war period

What happened in the American Revolution?

This was the period in history when the American colonies fought their British masters from 1775 to 1783 to gain their independence.

Hence, since you want to write a story, the aforementioned tips would be useful and the period of the American Revolution would be the setting of the story.

The place where the characters would live would be in the trenches/barracks.

The conflict which they would face would likely be about food rations.

The antagonist would likely be the military commanders.

The conflict would be resolved when the soldiers begin to win the war and get more supplies.

The Renaissance was a fervent period of European cultural, artistic, political and economic “rebirth” following the Middle Ages. Generally described as taking place from the 14th century to the 17th century, the Renaissance promoted the rediscovery of classical philosophy, literature and art.

Serena Williams' catsuit controversy evokes the
battle over women wearing shorts
monitta

Answer and Explanation:

"Serena Williams' catsuit controversy evokes the battle over women wearing shorts" is an article that offers a discussion of the issue surrounding sportswear worn by female athletes. The article discusses how these clothes are judged and sexualized, when it aims to help the athlete and make her comfortable during matches. The author reinforces that the clothes used by male athletes do not suffer the same judgment, even if they are used for the same reasons.

A part of the article that reinforces this is: “Women who did wear athletic garb were supposed to keep out of the public eye because it was deemed unfeminine and, yes, immodest.”
