In the beginning of the story Mary is Abandoned by everybody in India. At first Mary is very stubborn and is always alone because she never liked to play outside with other kids. The exciting part is that a Robin tells Mary where the Secret Garden was. After this, she shares her new secret with Colin a sickly little boy and Dickon a person who like to charm. Colin wants to see he is sick. Afterwards, the robin shows Mary where the key is to the Secret Door. Now, Mary waits for Colin to get well supposedly. Several Days Later, Colin realizes he was not sick at all and wasted no time to go outside and explore the interesting secret Mary told him. There patience and waiting have become a reality, all 3 of them go to the Secret Garden. The best part is Colin gets to see his dad again after years of not seeing him, And Dickon got to see his mom after a while of waiting. So this is my summary of the Secret Garden. ENJOY!

Read the excerpt from “A Genetics of Justice” Which statement best analyzes how the author develops the central idea across the
jonny [76]

Answer:

The correct answer is Alvarez explains that, although her parents reacted differently to the stress they endured, both became silent about the dictatorship.

Explanation:

This question is incomplete. Here are the excerpt and the options missing:

My mother, especially, lived in terror of the consequences of living as free citizens. In New York City, before Trujillo was killed, Dominican exiles gathered around the young revolutionary Juan Bosch planning an invasion of the Island. Every time my father attended these meetings, my mother would get hysterical. If the SIM found out about my father's activities, family members remaining behind were likely to be in danger. Even our own family in New York could suffer consequences. Five years earlier, in 1955, Galindez, an exile anti-Trujillo teaching at Columbia University, had disappeared from a New York subway. The same thing could happen to us.

I don't know if my father complied or just got too busy trying to make a living in this country. But after a few months of hotheaded attendance, he dropped out of these political activities and his silence deepened.

Which statement best analyzes how the author develops the central idea across the paragraphs?

Alvarez explains that her parents often disagreed about how to react to the dictatorship now that they were living in a free country

Alvarez explains how her father became heavily involved in anti-Trujillo activities, but soon became too busy to participate in them.

Alvarez explains how her mother eventually convinced her father to stop attending political meetings because of the danger.

Alvarez explains that, although her parents reacted differently to the stress they endured, both became silent about the dictatorship.

As the excerpt clearly says: <em>"his silence deepened." </em>

Alvarez tells the horrible things that happened because of the dictatorship, and even that he could happen to her parents and her family.

However, despite the stress of not knowing what would happen to their lives, both parents were silent about the dictatorship.
