The texture in this painting, in my opinion, looks rough. It makes it look, important.  Some artists can pull it off, some can't.

The texture in this painting is almost rough and matte. This texture adds a rustic feel to the painting. It allows the artist to move its viewers through a state of confusion and hardship that gives the watcher a better outlook on life. To me this looks like lots of things but the texture gives that spice that some artist lack.
