Which examples are simple sentences?
mario62 [17]

Reading novels is one of the greatest pleasures in my life. Some call reading fantasy and science fiction a form of escapism. One of the best ways to learn about history is by reading historical novels.

A simple sentence contains only one clause with a subject and verb phrase. In the first sentence, "reading novels" is the subject and "is" is the verb. In the second sentence, the subject is "Some" and the verb is "call". In the third sentence the subject is "One" and the verb is "is".

The other sentences don't work because in "What a person reads can tell you a lot about him or her" there are two verb phrases "reads" and "can tell'.

In the sentence "Reading books can take you places that you have never been before" there are also two clauses: "Reading books can take you places" and "you have never been before."

Write a one paragraph summary of "Your Food Choices Affect Earth's . DUE FEB 25 I REALLY NEED THIS ASAP PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
Oxana [17]

Every action has a cost. That’s as true for driving a car as it is for growing food and delivering it to your dinner plate. What we eat matters. The food choices we make every day have a big effect on the environment. The good news is that even small changes in what we buy and eat can add up to real environmental benefits, including fewer toxic chemicals, reduced global warming emissions, and the preservation of our ocean resources. Eating "green” can also mean eating

fresher, healthier foods while reducing your grocery bill and supporting farmers. Choose local food options whenever possible and avoid purchasing food imported by airplane. But keep in mind that the type of food and how it was produced may be of greater environmental

significance.
