In this excerpt from Ingrid honkers poem “the child is not dead” why does the phrase “cordoned heart” most likely refer to
Xelga [282]

Well cordoned's dictionary meaning is: prevent access to or from (an area or building) by surrounding it with police or other guards.

So with that a cordoned heart is blocked off, any answer close to that should be right.

Explain how the themes in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are still applicable to students in the 21st century.
Anettt [7]

Answer:

The themes in Dr. Jekyll and  Mr. Hyde include "the duality of human nature" and "reputation." These themes apply to the students in the 21st century as most students are faced with the challenge to choose between good and evil, and are also concerned about their reputation.

Explanation:

"Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is a novella written by Robert Louis Stevenson. The novella is about the dual character of Dr. Jekyll.

The themes prevalent in the novella are "the duality of human nature" and "reputation."  These themes apply to the students in the 21st century as, just like Dr. Jekyll, they are faced with the challenge to choose between good and evil. When they encounter such situations where they have to choose either one of them, they come across "the duality of human nature."

Another theme prevalent in the novella was "reputation." The students in the 21st century are most concerned about their reputation. Especially when they come under the peer-pressure. They might take the wrong steps to maintain a fake reputation among their peer groups.
