Answer: I was having difficulties understanding instructions
Explanation:
A few days ago I was helping my father make dinner, however, it was something I never made before and I'm not that experienced in the kitchen at all so I ended up having to ask multiple follow-up questions about each of the steps.
Answer:
I have had plenty of teachers that I have liked in my past. Some of them have been nice and some have been funny. But none have come utterly close to being my dream teacher. Before I say what my dream teacher would consist of, I must say that every teacher is a human being. No one could come close to being perfect. There is always at least one flaw that comes with being human. Whether it be getting easily irritated with certain things or it be making a small mistake on a paper. Everyone has their flaws. You just need to learn to deal with them like everybody else.
My dream teacher however would be the perfect teacher. She would teach English. When she speaks English, it would be perfect. Not only the words that she uses, but her voice as well. Her voice would be soothing, calm, and sweet. She would use beautiful language. The type Shakespeare uses and she would make sure everyone understands every single word she uses. By that, I mean she would make it easy for us to understand.
With her age, I don’t want her to be too old because most old teachers are mean and are old-fashioned. Although, I don't want her to be too young because most young teachers are too strict and like to stick to the rules so they don’t get fired. A teacher that is about thirty years old would be great. I would like a teacher that has been a teacher for a while and knows what to do, and knows the students well enough to have fun with them and joke around with them.
My dream teacher would be the most beautiful. She would have fair skin and big, curly, black hair. She is skinny, but not too skinny. From someone who comes from Nigeria, she is fairly tall. I would say about 5’6”. All the boys in the school would fawn over her and her looks, but unfortunately, she would be married.
She would be the kindest person you would ever meet. You would be able to talk to her about anything and she would never judge you. She will always give you the best advice and never lead you toward the wrong path. She has the most wonderful personality, too. And her name is Mrs. Ibironke.
Answer:
d
Explanation:
if they're a character in the story then they definitely don't know more than an omniscient narrator. If the narrator heard the story from several people then they know different aspects of the story, that some people don't know. So process of elimination. It only leaves D
1. Assuming the underlined word is 'discarded,' the correct answer is verb. Participles are used in three ways: as an adjective, as an adverb, or as a part of a complex tense (such as present continuous). Given that past simple (used in this sentence) is a simple tense, it is a verb rather than a participle.
2. Assuming the underlined word is 'camping,' the correct answer is participle. Based on my explanation above, you can understand why it is a participle rather than a verb. So, it is used in a complex tense (past perfect continuous + it ends in -ing) which means that it cannot be a verb. If the entire phrase was underlined (had been camping), that would be a verb.
3. Assuming the underlined word is 'cooking,' the correct answer is participle. Although participles and gerunds look the same (both end in -ing), there is a difference between them. Gerunds are only used as nouns, whereas participles are used as either adjectives or adverbs. Here, the word 'cooking' is an adjective, which means it is a participle rather than a gerund.
