A type I error takes place if a given null hypothesis is rejected but is said to be true in the population such as the forecast shows it is snowing outside but actually it is isn't.

<h3>What is type 11 error?</h3>

A type II error is known to be a statistical term that tells the error that takes place when one fails not to accept a null hypothesis that is said to be really false. A type II error create a false negative.

  • It known is known also as an error of omission. Example is the forecast shows that It is not snowing but it is actually snowing.

Note that:

  • Type I error is false positive.
  • Type II error is false negative.

The power of the test shows that:

  • The Power is the likelihood of rejecting the null hypothesis even if it is false.
  • Power is the likelihood of making the right decision that is to reject the null hypothesis even if the null hypothesis is false.
  • Power is the likelihood  of not making a Type II error and others.

Suppose you have the following null and alternative hypothesis:

H o: it is snowing.

H a: It is not snowing

(A) in the context of this problem, describe a Type-1 error

(B) Describe Type II error

(C)Describe power of the test

Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

6sqrt(2)

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to use the Right Triangle Altitude Theorem.

There are two parts to this theorem.

Here is the part you need for this problem.

If the altitude is drawn to the hypotenuse of a right triangle, the length of each leg of the right triangle is the geometric mean of the segment of the hypotenuse adjacent to the leg and the entire hypotenuse.

In this case, you end up with this proportion:

Length of leg: z

Length of entire hypotenuse = 8 + 1 = 9

Length of segment of hypotenuse adjacent to leg of interest: 8

8/z = z/9

z^2 = 72

z = sqrt(72)

z = sqrt(36 * 2)

z = 6sqrt(2)

kotegsom [21]

Answer: Yes, (2,1) is a solution.

Point for : (2,1)

Equation form : x=2 , y=1

Step-by-step explanation: Solve for the first variable in one of the equations, then substitute the result into the other equation.

pat and tim work together at a pizzeria, Pat can fold 30 pizza boxes per minute and tim can fold 20 pizza boxes per minute. Work
Marina CMI [18]

Step-by-step explanation:

1 min = 60 sec

Boxes both can fold per min = 30 + 20 = 50

No of boxes to fold = 200

Time taken in sec = 200 ÷ 50 = 4 min = 60 x 4 = 240 sec

Is a relation always a function ? is a function always a relation ? explain
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

It just so happens that it's always the same y for each x, but it is only that one y. So this is a function; it's just an extremely boring function! ... So this is a relation, but it is not a function.

Lexi bought 1 and 2/5 pounds of green grapes and 2 and 3/10 pounds of red grapes grapes are $2.99 a pound did Lexi spend more or
Anika [276]

Amount of green grapes bought = 1\frac{2}{5}=\frac{7}{5} pounds

Amount of red grapes = 2\frac{3}{10}=\frac{23}{10} pounds

Let us assume that both the grapes have same price per pound.

Total quantity of grapes = \frac{7}{5}+\frac{23}{10}

=\frac{14+23}{10}=\frac{37}{10} = 3.7 pounds

Price of 1 pound of grapes = $2.99

So price of 3.7 pounds = 2.99\times3.7 =11.063

Price is $11.063

Hence, Lexi spent less than $12.
