it was a hot day today my fingers were aching from typing alll day as i got to the end of my essay my mum appeared in the doorway telling me to go and get some fresh air normally i avoid going outside because of my weird neighbor she always stares at me going past i even saw her following me once well mabye today would be the day i would confront he yes if she was out so i put on my sandals and went outside and sure enough there she was before i came outside it looked like she was staring at my door waiting for it to open .

i crossed the garden and stood directly in front of her '' um excuse me but why do you always stare at me and folllow me around its really wierd '' i heard my mom shout my name PETER don't be rude '' ughhh it looked like she was listening in so annoying why does she always do that and after that she apologised for my rudness and invited the girl Jessica in for tea i should have expected it to end this way

The cool air chills my face, wiping the tears running down my cheek. I stare into his eyes, doing everything I can to not let all my emotions out. This breathtaking fall day at the park has suddenly gone stale at the sound of those 4 words.

“I need a break.”

I repeat the words in my head, trying to see if I misheard. But when I look up, his eyes tell it all.

“I know this is not what you want to hear, but I think I need time to explore my options, and-”

I interrupt him, feigning a smile. “Yeah, I totally agree,” I say, even as my voice begins to crackle. 3 months together. Gone. My friends warned me about him but he just seemed... Different. But seeing things now, it looks like I was just a fool. I should have expected it to end this way.
