As the United States became a major industrial power, conflict between workers and factory owners intensified. The Pullman Strike and the Homestead Strike are the most famous labor battles in history.

What is the main reason of worker strike?

In order to resolve complaints and improve working conditions, workers go on strike in reaction to unfair or unsafe working circumstances.

Strikes by employees are called in reaction to unfair or dangerous working conditions, in order to address complaints and improve those conditions.

To oppose a proposed wage cut, the Carnegie Steel Company and its employees engaged in a violent labor conflict known as the Homestead Strike. Large numbers of railroad workers went on strike in 1894 during the Pullman Strike to protest the working conditions at the Pullman Palace Car Company.

Organized labor organizations campaigned for higher pay, more flexible hours, and safer working conditions in the industrial sector.

Hence, the significance of the worker strike is aforementioned.
