I think that Louis XIV oversaw three of the following which are colonization in the West Indies ;exploration and colonization in North America ;and establishment of a strong monarchy except letter A. Coronation of the Duc du Maine.

The colonists opposed the taxes imposed after the French and Indian War
because they claimed that since the colonies had no representation in
parliament, Parliament had no right to tax them.The British
parliament was of the opinion that this was the
way they could cover the cost of the French and Indian War. This
actually was
the basis for a greater revolution among the colonists in the later
stages.
Most disturbing and horrific would probably be the way that workers could be mutilated by the machines or by human error and nobody would care about that. They would have to keep working without fingers or hands because not working would mean the end of their families. The injuries sometimes didn't have to be mutilation but were still severe.
