{\huge \underline{{ \fbox \color{red}{A}}{\fbox \color{green}{n}}{\fbox \color{purple}{s}}{\fbox \color{brown}{w}}{\fbox \color{yellow}{e}}{\fbox \color{gray}{r } }}}

Equivalent Fractions have the same value, even though they look different.

☆Example :-

\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \boxed{\tt  \dfrac{1}{2}  =  \dfrac{2}{4}  =  \dfrac{4}{8} }

¿Why are they the same?

Because when you multiply or divide the numerator and denominator by the same amount, the fraction does NOT change.

Remember that :-

Remember that :- The multiplication and division that you apply in the numerator to e must repeat in the denominator.

That's why the fractions are really the same.

◇Watch the process ;

\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \tt \boxed{ \tt \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{2}{4} =  \frac{4}{8}  }

That's multiplying

\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \boxed{ \tt\dfrac{18}{36}  =  \dfrac{6}{12 }  =  \dfrac{1}{2} }

That's Division

Step-by-step explanation:

Equivalent fractions represent the same value, even though they look different. For example, if you have a cake, cut it into two equal pieces, and eat one of them, you will have eaten half the cake.

Harold has $20.00 to spend. He decided to buy a shirt for $15.95 and spend the rest on packs of gum. If each pack of gum costs $
KIM [24]

Answer:

2 or less packs

Step-by-step explanation:

15.99 + 1.99g < 20.00  where g is the number of packs of gum

Subtract 15.99 from each side

15.99 + 1.99g - 15.99 < 20.00-15.99

1.99g < 4.01

Divide by 1.99

1.99g/1.99 < 4.01/1.99

g < 2.015075377

Harold must buy whole packs so g =2 or less
