Should violent television programming also be prohibited? What about literary works that are violent? What do you mean when you say "violent video games"? The phrase might be used to describe someone getting slapped, kicked, or having his innards removed from his body. You see how ambiguous language like this might ruin the gaming business to the point where SLAPPING someone is violent and ought to be prohibited? Do you know how many enduring video games have been created and shaped popular culture?  Games like Halo, Call of Duty, The Last of Us, Skyrim, and so much more have memorable storytelling that thousands of people enjoyed and loved . Under your logic, violent game should be banned because they're violent. You're dismissing any redeemable qualities they have for the sake of censoring what people can play. Video games were made for the entertainment of the consume. It is up to them to decide what they should or should buy for the sake of themselves their children.
