In the second paragraph of "Ain't I a Woman" Truth appealed to listeners' sense of logic because:

 • She demonstrates that women are just as strong as men.

What was Truth's main theme?

In her speech, "Ain't I a Woman" Truth appealed to the listener's sense of logic by giving the example of a man who says that women need to be helped onto a carriage whereas she could climb a carriage without help from anybody.

Since Truth could do most of the things that men could do, that means that there was really no difference between a man and a woman. Through these examples, Truth showed that the female gender should not be treated as inferior.

Interpetative literature has the goal to make us rethink our lives after reading what is happening in that particular work of literature. Escapist literature is there to help us escape our own pitiful lives. This is not a perfect short story because it's a play - not a short story.
