Life changed by the fact that <u><em>most of their agriculture and equipment upgraded in enormous way.</em></u>

Explanation:

From reading the text it said things like "<em>change from candles, to kerosene lamps, and then to electric light bulbs.</em>" And "<em>from walking and horse power to steam-powered locomotives, to electric trolley cars, to gasoline-powered automobiles</em>." From these sentences you can realize how their lives changed. In result of these changes more people began to move to their community because of the high result of change in technology.
