The coordinates of the vertices are (-1, 6), (1, 2) and (2, 3)

<h3>The coordinates of each vertex?</h3>

The functions are given as:

y = x + 1

2x + y = 4

x + y = 5

Next, we plot the graph of the lines (see attachment)

From the attached graph, the coordinates of the vertices are (-1, 6), (1, 2) and (2, 3)

<h3>The type of triangle</h3>

Rewrite the equations in slope intercept form

y = x + 1 ⇒ Slope = 1

y = -2x + 4 ⇒ Slope = -2

y = -x + 5 ⇒ Slope = -1

The equations y = x + 1 and y = -x + 5 have their slopes to be opposite reciprocals

This means that the lines are perpendicular (they form a right angle)

Hence, the triangle is a right triangle

According to the Rational Root Theorem, which is a factor of the polynomial f(x) = 3x3 – 5x2 – 12x + 20?
Harlamova29_29 [7]

3x^3 – 5x^2 – 12x + 20

= (3x^3 – 5x^2) – (12x - 20)

= x^2(3x - 5) - 4(3x - 5)

= (3x - 5)(x^2 - 4)

= (3x - 5)(x + 2)(x - 2)

Factors: (3x - 5), (x + 2), and (x - 2)

If triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF, what is the value of x?
IrinaVladis [17]

Answer:

<h3>            x = 15 cm</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

If triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF, then:

                                                                    \dfrac{AC}{DF}=\dfrac{BC}{EF}

Therefore:

\dfrac{x}{5}=\dfrac{12}{4}\\\\\dfrac{x}{5}=3\\\\x=15
